Turion Space, founded in 2021, is a fast-rising space infrastructure company building resilient satellite systems and advanced data solutions for space situational awareness (SSA) and mission-critical satellite monitoring. With a proven track record of securing multiple major government and defense contracts, Turion Space is rapidly establishing itself as a market leader in delivering high-fidelity SSA imagery, orbital intelligence, and in-space logistics capabilities that enhance national security and space sustainability.

Ryan Westerdahl, Co-Founder and CEO of Turion Space, is a former SpaceX propulsion dynamicist. He brings that same hardcore engineering intensity and rapid-execution mindset to Turion Space, where the team is developing autonomous DROID satellites and integrated software platforms to keep Earth orbit safe, operational, and ready for humanity’s multi-planetary future.
FoundersX Ventures is a proud backer of Turion Space since its seed round and is committed to continue backing the superstar in building data infrastructure for satellite fleets. We are a firm believer in its mission. With its B round newly closed, we are excited to watch Ryan and the Turion team continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in space.
