Contalink automates bookkeeping for accounting firms in Mexico, where mandatory electronic invoicing means that every transaction a business conducts already exists as a structured digital record filed with the tax authority. In practice, most firms still re-enter that data by hand, reconciling invoices against bank statements and classifying entries one by one. The information needed to do the work automatically is available; what has been missing is software that ingests it, classifies it, and presents the exceptions that actually require professional judgment.

The distribution model is the accounting firm rather than the end business, which is efficient: each firm that adopts the platform brings the books of dozens or hundreds of small and mid-size clients with it, and firms recommend tools to one another within a tight professional community. Backed since 2022 with a five million dollar seed round, Contalink is a deep-domain investment tied closely to Mexican tax regulation, which is precisely what makes it defensible against generic international accounting software. Regulatory change, normally a burden, becomes a recurring reason for firms to rely on the platform.
