Lunetronic is an advanced aerospace and optical networking company founded by engineers with backgrounds in quantum photonics and leading space enterprises. The company specializes in developing ultra-high-speed laser networking solutions designed to support heavy data demands like space-based AI computing and satellite communication infrastructure. By targeting bandwidths exceeding 1.6 Tbps and microsecond-level latency, Lunetronic aims to bypass the power and infrastructure limits of terrestrial data centers to build the backbone for future orbital networks.
In addition to space-based data connectivity, Lunetronic is collaborating with major scientific institutions—including NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)—to pioneer lunar timekeeping and navigation infrastructure. The company is heavily involved in researching the "Lunar Super-Laser" concept, which proposes placing an ultra-stable, cryogenic optical clock and silicon cavity laser inside permanently shadowed craters near the Moon's poles. This technology leverages the extreme thermal stability of the lunar poles to deliver unprecedented frequency precision, serving as a master clock, navigation aid, and optical communication backbone for future Artemis-led lunar habitats and deep-space exploration.
