Solve Intelligence builds AI copilots for patent work, spanning drafting, prosecution, and litigation support. Patent practice is an unusually good fit for language models: the output is long-form technical prose written to rigid formal conventions, the source material is public, and the cost of attorney time is high enough that partial automation carries real value. It is also unforgiving, because claim language determines the scope and validity of the resulting right, so a plausible-sounding error is expensive rather than merely embarrassing.

The company’s positioning follows from that tension. The product accelerates the drafting and analysis a practitioner would otherwise do by hand while keeping the attorney in the loop for judgment, which is both the correct professional posture and the reason firms will adopt it. Backed since 2024 and funded through a 40 million dollar Series B, Solve Intelligence is an agentic applications investment where the moat is workflow depth in a specific professional practice. Once a firm’s drafting conventions and prior art live inside the tool, replacing it becomes an expensive proposition.
