Turion Space builds spacecraft for space domain awareness, in-orbit imaging, and eventually debris removal. As launch costs fell, the orbital environment became crowded and contested at once: operators need to know what is near their assets, whether an approach is routine or deliberate, and how to manoeuvre in response. Ground-based tracking cannot resolve small objects or inspect them closely, which leaves a real gap between knowing that something is in orbit and understanding what it is doing.

Turion’s answer is to put manoeuvrable inspection satellites in orbit and sell the resulting imagery and tracking data to commercial and government customers, with the same platform capability pointing toward debris capture as the market for it matures. Backed since 2021 and funded through a 75 million dollar Series B, the company benefits directly from the launch economics that other portfolio holdings created: cheap access to orbit is what makes a fleet of small inspection craft financially sensible. Government demand for orbital awareness also provides a revenue base that does not depend on commercial adoption curves.
